    Sasquatch Assignment

Students:

  1.  Read a Sasquatch award nominee book.
  2.  Choose 10 words that best describe the book.  Make sure each word is spelled correctly.
  3.  Fill out the 10-word template form (available in the school library).  Explain the significance of the word in relation to the story.
  4.  On the Internet create a Wordle using the ten words that you chose.

How to Create a Wordle:

  1.  On the Internet, go to http://www.wordle.net
  2. Click on “Create your own”
  3. Type in your 10 words carefully.  In addition, please include the title of the book and your name.  (In order for the title and your name to stay together, do not put a space between the words.  Ex: LongShot instead of Long Shot).
  4. Click on “Go”
  5. You may edit your Wordle using the Font, Layout, and Color tabs.
  6. When you are satisfied with your Wordle, Click Print.  Please print to Color Printers in the Workroom or the Lab.  (You will need your teacher’s assistance for this part).  You may only print ONE copy….no multiple copies allowed.
  7. Staple your Wordle and the 10-word template together and hand into Mrs. Hagerty.
